We are looking for a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dynamic team. Are you an experienced Respiratory nurse with a particular interest in Acute Non-Invasive Ventilation? This could be the role for you. Ward A1 is a 28 bedded Acute Respiratory Ward managing the care of patients with a range of respiratory conditions. Our team are specially trained to deliver acute respiratory care including the delivery of level 2 interventions at ward level, such as: Non-Invasive Ventilation and High Flow Oxygen. The ward team are highly competent with the management of patients with altered airways including those patients with tracheostomies and laryngectomies. You will be joining our friendly and dynamic multi-disciplinary team with excellent standards and great work ethic. You will be supported to develop as a band 6 sister/charge nurse through leadership training and mentoring. Sound interesting? Dedicated, motivated and skilled and take pride in providing exceptional patient care Have a passion for acute respiratory nursing Experience with Non-Invasive Ventilation Have the potential for leadership skills and possess mentorship skills and knowledge Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and work well within a MDT as well as individually Have some knowledge or experience in audits and IQP change projects and recognise the need for improvement work Familiar with Health Roster and NHSP as well as the new HIVE system Skilled at day to day shift coordinating, supporting and mentoring junior staff and escalating changing in patients needs accordingly and communicating in the MDT daily board rounds. Full training and support will be given to help you progress your skills at band 6 and for you to complete the band 6 competency framework.
