Our fast paced, dynamic team is looking for a Clinical Lead Physiotherapist with an enthusiasm for respiratory care to provide clinical expertise and support to staff including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and therapy assistants. The Acute Medicine therapy team covers a large footprint in the hospital with different specialities such as gastroenterology, respiratory, cardiology, general medicine, renal and care of the elderly. You will be supporting patients on their clinical pathway working alongside a multi-disciplinary team to optimise care and deliver rehabilitation interventions and discharge planning. There will be the opportunity to participate and contribute to different 'big rooms' such as falls prevention, deconditioning and kidney care. Main duties of the job We already have a Clinical Lead Physiotherapist with an interest in rehab, a Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist and a Deconditioning Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist within the team. Our missing piece of the jigsaw is respiratory so we were hoping that would be your bag! Your role will see you supporting the team to manage their demanding caseloads whilst ensuring delivery of a high quality service across the acute medical setting, including assessment and treatment of acute medical patients and facilitating discharge planning as appropriate. There will be a balance between clinical and non-clinical responsibilities with a focus on service and quality improvement and supporting training and development of staff.
