If so, we have an opportunity to join our small but supportive team at Knoll Community Hospital, Duns. We have 23 inpatient beds and a Day Hospital providing nursing support tooutpatient clinics. The Healthcare Support Worker plays a significant role in a patient’s recovery. We provide person centredcare for patients from the Berwickshire Locality; providingnursing care, rehabilitation, re-ablement and palliative care to patients closer to their own home. This may follow a period ofacute hospital admission or a period of being unwell at home in which the Community Hospital may be a more suitable environment to provide this individualised care. This isa challenging and exciting opportunity to develop new or enhance existing skills. The successful candidate will be passionate about person centred careand demonstrate their enthusiasm and motivation to make a real difference working within our organisational values. They must be able to work as part of a team but also under their own initiative. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
