Computer experience is required. We use EMIS clinical system. Previous experience working in general practice would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given. To support the dispensary team by providing clerical and administrative support, ensuring that patients repeat medication requests are processed in line with practice protocols. Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the dispensary Job responsibilities: To maintain complete confidentiality at all times in matters relating to patients, their carers, practice staff and the business of the practice. To process repeat prescription requests, adhering to practice protocols and standard operating procedures. This will include requests received by post, email and on-line requests. You will be responsible for making sure that patients who are taking regular medications for any chronic diseases are up to date with their annual reviews and contacting patients to book when required. To attend training sessions as required, either in-house or within reasonable travelling distance of the Practice.
