Palliative Care Staff Nurse Access/ Community Team Hospice Band: 5 Starting Salary: £33,946 WTE (rising to Step2 £37,664 WTE subject to satisfactory performance review) pro rata per annum + Pension + Benefits Full & Part time positions available An exciting opportunity has arisen for caring and compassionate registered nurses to join our Hospice Team. You’ll be a Registered Nurse with palliative care experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a proven ability to work as part of a multi-professional team. You will be responsible for initial and ongoing holistic assessment of new patients and planning of care to meet the patients and carers practical, psychosocial, spiritual needs, as well as responding to queries requests for advice and support form patients, families and colleagues. This is a responsive/reactive role suited to experienced staff nurses with palliative care experience. This post will involve rotation to work within the Access team and community setting, initially being office based. This is an extremely supportive team environment. This initial work is key to ensuring that everyone in need of hospice services receives support as quickly and comprehensively as possible – and is triaged to the most appropriate team for follow up.
