VACANCY

Our Palliative Care Nurses provide specialist advice, guidance and support to patients at home, in care homes and our Inpatient care. The Staff Nurse role involves getting to know the patient and their family well enough to allow them to talk about how they are feeling, their worries and anxieties. As well as advising on symptom control, medicines and treatments, our nurses ensure people are getting the practical help they need, from community partners. We currently have full and part time opportunities to join our dedicated nursing teams.

Full & Part time positions available

An exciting opportunity has arisen for caring and compassionate registered nurses to join our Hospice Team. You’ll be a Registered Nurse with palliative care experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a proven ability to work as part of a multi-professional team.

You will be responsible for initial and ongoing holistic assessment of new patients and planning of care to meet the patients and carers practical, psychosocial, spiritual needs, as well as responding to queries requests for advice and support form patients, families and colleagues. This is a responsive/reactive role suited to experienced staff nurses with palliative care experience. This post will involve rotation to work within the Access team and community setting, initially being office based.

This is an extremely supportive team environment. This initial work is key to ensuring that everyone in need of hospice services receives support as quickly and comprehensively as possible – and is triaged to the most appropriate team for follow up.
