Where: Trinity Ward, Ripon Community Hospital Who: Health Care Support Worker Ripon Community Hospital is a much loved local hospital and provides a friendly and welcoming atmosphere with a real sense of community amongst the staff. Trinity ward is a 19-bedded ward caring for patients requiring rehabilitation and includes 2 palliative care beds. We are seeking a compassionate individual to provide excellent care in a busy and rewarding environment. The role is full time and will require flexibility in working a range of shifts. If you are passionate about patient care and safety we look forward to hearing from you. Experience in a caring environment is preferred. The post holder carries out assigned tasks involving direct care in support of and supervised by a Registered Nurse. To assist the nursing staff in the care and rehabilitation of the patient and reporting any concerns to the Registered Nurse. To work as an integrated member of the ward team, assisting with nursing procedures according to agreed policies To maintain the patient's dignity and self-respect at all times and achieving a high standard of care To be aware of the Health and Safety aspects of staff and patients To be flexible to work in different areas within the unit as required Following appropriate instruction organise own day to day work tasks and activities Learn from the patient experience to constantly drive up standards is paramount. The post holder will be accountable for ensuring the highest standard of care is delivered and will constantly promote: patient safety, effective care and a positive patient experience at each stage of the patient’s journey.
