Experience of managing a team would be preferable and excellent organisational and leadership skills are essential. This post is for a band 7 ward sister / charge nurse in the surgical directorate for short stay surgery. The post holder will be expected to lead the nursing team both clinically and managerially. The successful individual will have substantial post registration experience as a senior staff nurse and above. As a band 7 you would bring excellent clinical skills and knowledge, and a desire to maintain and role model a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. You should have evidence of prior leadership and management and should illustrate a commitment to continuously developing your professional skills. The successful applicant will be integral to the ongoing recruitment and training of the nursing team, supported by the Nursing leadership team of Matron and Head of Nursing.
