Responsibilities include daily reporting of repairs, fly-tipping, and anti-social behavior issues, ensuring a safe and clean living environment for residents. Duties And Responsibilities Deliver a high-quality cleaning service within hostels and supported housing. Perform all duties in accordance with service area and corporate policies and procedures. Follow risk assessments and ensure tasks are carried out safely, including the safe operation of council vehicles. Promptly report repairs and any disturbances of asbestos to the Community Action Supervisor. Assist in cleaning and clearing properties and communal areas using appropriate equipment. Maintain routine documentation, including daily defect book, driver’s daily return forms, and other transport documentation. Contribute to meeting work targets and objectives as part of the Caretaking Services Team. Assist in the operation and development of quality systems adopted by the service area. Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others, complying with all relevant health and safety legislation. Person Specification Essential Requirements: Education & Training: A good standard of education or the ability to demonstrate competence through experience. Experience/Knowledge: Experience using new technology. Experience working with customers. Experience working in a housing-related environment. Experience dealing with vacant properties. Skills and Abilities: Ability to work as part of a team, showing a willingness to assist others and a commitment to meeting team objectives. Ability to use own initiative. Ability to follow instructions and be aware of Health and Safety issues while carrying out tasks. Special Circumstances: A full and valid driving licence. Ability to drive a council vehicle.
