The successful candidate will be an oncology nurse with proven leadership skills and the vision and passion to help develop the service and optimise high quality patient care. They will be a good team player and work with the Matrons, multidisciplinary teams and nursing leaders in oncology to help foster good communication and improved processes to enhance the patient pathway. This post is to cover maternity leave and is available as a fixed term or secondment opportunity. Please ensure you have support from your line manager prior to applying if you would like to undertake this role as a secondment. If internal candidate is successful, will need to start from beginning of September 2024. Closing date: 19th August 2024 Interview date: 29th August 2024 To be responsible for the effective and efficient operational management of the department; including budget control, clinical governance, staff development and training. To provide professional leadership within the clinical area and provide direction and inspirational leadership to all members of the multi-disciplinary team within the area for which they are accountable for.
