We have an excellent opportunity for a strong clinical leader who is passionate about enhancing oncology patient care to lead the Outpatient Village in Guys Cancer Centre.

The successful candidate will be an oncology nurse with proven leadership skills and the vision and passion to help develop the service and optimise high quality patient care. They will be a good team player and work with the Matrons, multidisciplinary teams and nursing leaders in oncology to help foster good communication and improved processes to enhance the patient pathway.

This post is to cover maternity leave and is available as a fixed term or secondment opportunity. Please ensure you have support from your line manager prior to applying if you would like to undertake this role as a secondment. If internal candidate is successful, will need to start from beginning of September 2024.

To be responsible for the effective and efficient operational management of the department; including budget control, clinical governance, staff development and training.

To provide professional leadership within the clinical area and provide direction and inspirational leadership to all members of the multi-disciplinary team within the area for which they are accountable for.

To be involved in the development of protocols / guidelines and patient information.
