The post holder will carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward environment. What We'll Need You To Bring Knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer or work experience in a health, education or social environment. Required to undertake on the job training and induction Undertake mandatory HCSW standards Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment. Working knowledge of basic information technology. It Would Be Great If You Also Have SVQ111 in healthcare or working towards or equivalent experience working in the role Training in physical health checks in areas such as BP monitoring venepuncture Previous experience in working with people in a community/ acute hospital setting Direct/client one to one care Wide range of caring experience Should have an awareness of current developments in Dementia Care Knowledge of approaches to risk management Knowledge and awareness of develop supports for older people Basic IT skills, Telephone, fax, email Demonstrate excellent team leadership skills with ability to work using own initiative Required to be flexible in post Driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA licence Good time management skills Flexible working hours Looking to find out more?
