The Role- As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will carry out routine personal care duties for patients, in support of and supervised by, a registered nurse.
- The post holder will carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward environment.
Duties may vary with the type of ward/department and the degree of patient dependency.

What We'll Need You To Bring
- Knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer or work experience in a health, education or social environment.
- Required to undertake on the job training and induction
- Undertake mandatory HCSW standards
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology.
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
- SVQ111 in healthcare or working towards or equivalent experience working in the role
- Training in physical health checks in areas such as BP monitoring venepuncture
- Previous experience in working with people in a community/ acute hospital setting
- Direct/client one to one care
- Wide range of caring experience
- Should have an awareness of current developments in Dementia Care
- Knowledge of approaches to risk management
- Knowledge and awareness of develop supports for older people
- Basic IT skills, Telephone, fax, email
- Demonstrate excellent team leadership skills with ability to work using own initiative
- Required to be flexible in post
- Driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA licence
- Good time management skills
- Flexible working hours
