AB9 is a 38 bedded Neurosurgery/ Spinal Surgery ward which provides a dedicated service and specialised care and acute rehabilitation for patients following emergency and elective surgery. We are looking for a dedicated candidate who is organised and self motivated ensuring that the ward has enough stock levels for day to day management. It is an exciting time to be joining the ward as we have recently moved into a new location in the Louisa Martindale Building. The role of the Ward Technologist will involve; cleaning and tidying areas of the ward, whilst also ensuring stock levels are adequate. Liaising with other departments regarding stock will be required. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out basic checks on equipment and ensure that this is in working order, reporting any issues appropriately. This is a standalone role; however, you will work alongside clinical and administration staff. You will have staff to refer to and training will be given as required. Computer skills are required for emails, ordering, labelling and spreadsheets. The role does not involve patient care; however, you will be working in patient areas.
