A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOD AND BEVERAGE TEAM MEMBER AT THE PRINCIPAL YORK What you'll be doing... Reporting to the Head of Food and Beverage, you can expect your working day to include: Assiting in creating a warm and welcoming environment Ensuring that all guests' requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively. Setting up the Refectory Restaurant, Garden Room and Chapter House Bar for service. Helping with Breakfast Service, Afternoon Tea Service and Dinner Service Serving guests light refreshments Taking food and drink orders and serve guests at their table throughout the hotel. Maintaning positive working relationships with colleagues - we are an enthusiatic, authentic bunch of people who truly care about teamwork and great service. What We Need From You We hire mostly on personality & potential but here are a few of our requirements... To succeed in the role of Food and Beverage Team Member, you will need the following qualities and skills To be passionate about delivering great service and creating memorable moments! Previous experience within hotels is advantageous but not essential. To be willing to learn new things and work as part of the wider hotel team. Flexible - you could be working in our Restaurant, Garden Room and Bar on a variety of evenings, days and weekends. There is a variety of hours available for this position.
