A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOD AND BEVERAGE TEAM MEMBER AT THE PRINCIPAL YORK
What you'll be doing...
Reporting to the Head of Food and Beverage, you can expect your working day to include:
- Assiting in creating a warm and welcoming environment
- Ensuring that all guests' requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively.
- Setting up the Refectory Restaurant, Garden Room and Chapter House Bar for service.
- Helping with Breakfast Service, Afternoon Tea Service and Dinner Service
- Serving guests light refreshments
- Taking food and drink orders and serve guests at their table throughout the hotel.
- Maintaning positive working relationships with colleagues - we are an enthusiatic, authentic bunch of people who truly care about teamwork and great service.
What We Need From You
We hire mostly on personality & potential but here are a few of our requirements...
To succeed in the role of Food and Beverage Team Member, you will need the following qualities and skills
- To be passionate about delivering great service and creating memorable moments!
- Previous experience within hotels is advantageous but not essential.
- To be willing to learn new things and work as part of the wider hotel team.
- Flexible - you could be working in our Restaurant, Garden Room and Bar on a variety of evenings, days and weekends.
