CAMHS Disability is part of Community CAMHS, a large mental health & child health service comprising pathways and services working within the Thrive approach. We are a forward thinking, passionate team supporting children & young people with disabilities, & their families & networks. This is a full-time role, involving co-ordination of post-diagnostic groupwork/parenting support, plus opportunities for clinical work, holding a small caseload. The role is based at Hackney Ark, a community-based centre for children & young people with disabilities, developmental/additional needs & vulnerabilities. The CAMHS Disability Service is well-established and offers a wide range of care pathways (0-18 years; moderate to profound neurodevelopmental, ASD, LD/ID and physical disabilities) Systemic, relational & attachment models form the basis for much our work, alongside behavioural techniques & a variety of specialist approaches. Referrals are diverse, reflecting our local community which we are proud to serve. Training & CPD are an integral part of our service offer to all staff, as is regular clinical supervision. Due to high applications, advert may close early*** The Post Holder Will Hold a small caseload of clinical work (within the ‘Getting Help’ Pathway) for goal-based behavioural & short term, focused interventions. Manage caseload turnover, with clinical supervision support. Engage in multi-agency & multi-disciplinary liaison, as required as part of systemic approach to supporting children & families. Contribute to the service ‘Getting Help Assistant’ rota for making initial contact with families by telephone & allocating to the ‘best fit’ intervention pathway Take responsibility to complete outcome measures with children & families across all aspects of role. Plan, coordinate & support co-delivery of post-diagnostic interventions, including group parenting programmes & psychoeducation (virtual/individual/group basis) Organise group schedules in advance, overseeing multi-disciplinary team diary management & complete all associated tasks (under the direction of the Getting Help Pathway/Parenting Lead. Maintain waiting lists/databases for effective post-diagnostic tracking. Act as a single point of contact for group enquiries, escalating complex matters to the Pathways Lead where needed. Develop clinical resources for groups & caseload intervention.
