GP Surgery Medical Receptionist/Administrator in an established, family oriented surgery, with a welcoming, friendly, fun and supportive staff team. We have 14,500 patients and are set in central Wimbledon. Medical Receptionists are held in high regard and are a key part of the practice team. We are looking to recruit for around 15-26 hours per week. Both morning and afternoon shifts will be required. Morning shifts start at 8am, afternoon shifts finishing at 6.30pm.You will have excellent communication skills and attention to detail along with plenty of enthusiasm. You will be ideally be confident and competent with IT. You will be professional and be able to interact positively with patients to provide a consistently high level of patient satisfaction. You must be punctual, reliable, flexible and able to multi-task. There are often opportinities to progress through the organisation, if this is something that apeals to you. The post includes optional membership of the NHS pension scheme and membership to a staff perks package. It is a busy working environment where you will need to be able to multi task and communicate clearly and effectively. For the majority of the shifts you will be answering calls/liaising with patients face to face and local organisations like pharmacies or hospitals, directing patients to the appropriate clinician appointments, locating results and relevant information. For the the rest of your shift you will be processing emails and patient related correspondence or paperwork and undertaking tasks that clinicians have requested.
