This post is a key role within the wider multidisciplinary team, comprising of ED Consultant, Senior Nurses, and colleagues from specialist areas including the Homeless support team, Drug and alcohol services, Safeguarding, and Liaison Psychiatry. High Impact Users can be frequent attenders to the Emergency Department, those whose presentations need increased support or those with complex medical, psychological or social needs.The post holder will be based within the Adult Emergency Department. The post has been created to provide co-ordination and management of High Impact Users to the Adult Emergency Department, ensuring that this group of patients are identified, safely and effectively managed, and given the best and most appropriate care. Main duties of the job The post holder will use their expert knowledge, skills and initiative to ensure that existing systems and protocols are used for the early identification and coordination of care for High Impact users, and that these systems are maintained and updated as required.
