The successful candidate will have at least 2 years Band 5 experience working within a paediatric HDU and completion of the HDU Course. Excellent communication skills and a strong approach to teamwork are vital for this role. A proven track record of undertaking the Acting Team Leader role is essential. Undertake a comprehensive assessment of care Develop clinical expertise in all aspects of care Ensure evidence based/best practice Monitor & develop standards of nursing care within the Clinical Governance Framework Ensure Trust policies & procedures are understood & adhered to Demonstrates professional accountability underpinned by the NMC Generate new ideas for the improvement of the service.
