Assist health care professionals in the treatment provided to patients during outpatient clinics by working effectively with members of a multidisciplinary team. Communicate effectively with patients and their relatives to ensure patients are kept well informed of any changes / delays to their appointment time. Communicate effectively with clerical, nursing, and medical staff to facilitate good working relationships in areas of mutual contact. Have responsibility for the collection and testing of urine samples and measuring and recording patient’s weight, height and blood pressure. Report any abnormalities immediately to the nurse in charge. Act in the best interest of the patients always. When required, assist patients with their mobility needs within the Trust’s Moving and Handling Policy. Chaperone and assist medical staff during intimate examinations of patients.
