Working with the Specialty Doctors they will ensure cover is provided for general inpatients on general Care of the Elderly wards including rotation into Orthogeriatric Ward which are all well staffed with daily consultant ward rounds and other junior doctor support. Full time (9am to 5pm) appointment working with the Care of the Elderly team. Helping organise the consultant ward round, review sick patients, patients fit for discharge, leading the MDT in consultant absence from the ward and providing middle grade cover to junior doctors within care of elderly medicine. With a new hospital planned for Watford and work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join us.
