We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. This is a part-time permanent post of 18.5 hours per week. Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours. The shift pattern of this post is Monday Sunday day shift, consisting of 3 x 6 hours & 10 minutes shifts. The post holder will assist the team in delivering care and organising structured, meaningful and therapeutic activities to aid the rehabilitation of older adults. You will assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of patients’ social & leisure activities. You will organise and participate, alongside your team, in therapeutic leisure activities on a group and one to one basis. You will complete induction including the HCSW workbook, mandatory LearnPro training and Moving and Handling training. You may be asked to assist with aspects of personal care including assisting patients to the toilet and with their food at mealtimes. You should have the ability to fulfil the requirements of the job description including the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Effective written and verbal communication skills, literacy and numeracy skills and the ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment are essential.
