Brook Street Social Care have an exciting opportunity for experienced Children's Residential Support Workers to join an expanding team and work in residential children's services across Cardiff. Permanent opportunities also available due to expansion is available with potential to progress with your career. You will be working as part of a staff team to deliver quality care and support to vulnerable children and young people with emotional and behavioural issues. You will be a positive role model and will encourage children to grow and develop both personally and academically and with any extracurricular activities outside of school. In addition to this, you will have previous experience working with challenging behaviours. All required training will be provided to you, and you will have opportunities to complete extra qualifications to progress in your career working with children. Ideally you will have a level 3 in Children and Young People however this is not essential. Essential To Be Considered For The Role, You Must At least 12 months experience working in a children's residential setting and EBD experience Driver with access to your own vehicle due to nature of the work Have a strong desire to support children and young people Have excellent observational skills, and the ability to problem solve and think creatively to enable our young people to reimagine their potential. Be patient, caring, compassionate with a young person-centred nature Demonstrate the ability to manage emotionally challenging situations with emotional intelligence and resilience, and to have the capacity to react calmly in stressful situations. Be a team player and able to take direction and show initiative.
