We have a new, exciting opportunity for an experienced GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician to take up a full time position of Specialist Pharmacy Technician – Homecare and High-Cost Drugs . You will join our committed and friendly team to support the delivery of a high quality paediatric medicines service to our patients. You will manage the maintenance and development of pharmacy homecare services and drive the high-cost drugs agenda within the trust. Job Summary To manage the maintenance and development of Homecare Services in line with national standards and guidelines and local policy and procedures. To line manage the Homecare Administrative team. To be the Lead Specialist Pharmacy Technician at Alder Hey for High-Cost Drugs (non-PbR drugs) in line with NHSE (NHS England) and ICB commissioning intentions, local policy and procedures to ensure safe, evidence based and cost-effective implementation and use/ cost saving initiatives related to expenditure from NHSE. To provide technical support to the Lead Pharmacist –Formulary and Procurement, and other relevant Specialist Clinical Pharmacists, on procurement and therapeutics relating to High-Cost Medicines.
