We have a new, exciting opportunity for an experienced GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician to take up a full time position of Specialist Pharmacy Technician – Homecare and High-Cost Drugs . You will join our committed and friendly team to support the delivery of a high quality paediatric medicines service to our patients. You will manage the maintenance and development of pharmacy homecare services and drive the high-cost drugs agenda within the trust.
Job Summary
- To manage the maintenance and development of Homecare Services in line with national standards and guidelines and local policy and procedures.
- To line manage the Homecare Administrative team.
- To be the Lead Specialist Pharmacy Technician at Alder Hey for High-Cost Drugs (non-PbR drugs) in line with NHSE (NHS England) and ICB commissioning intentions, local policy and procedures to ensure safe, evidence based and cost-effective implementation and use/ cost saving initiatives related to expenditure from NHSE.
- To provide technical support to the Lead Pharmacist –Formulary and Procurement, and other relevant Specialist Clinical Pharmacists, on procurement and therapeutics relating to High-Cost Medicines.
