The Acute Respiratory Unit is recruiting Band 6 Registered Nurses who are motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable with a passion for providing high quality patient care. We care for our patients 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and can consider a number of working patterns to support work life balance of our staff. This is a combined clinical and managerial role where you can develop your skills in both areas. The Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is responsible for the delivery of health services to more than 600,000 people in South East Wales. The Grange University Hospital in Llanfrechfa deals with all major emergencies and treat and care for those needing complex, specialist or critical care. It includes a 24-hour Emergency Department and Assessment Unit dealing with emergencies and resuscitation cases and has a broad range of diagnostic services, operating theatres, and a consultant-led obstetric unit. This is an excellent time to join the Health Board. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply Main duties of the job You will be expected to work as part of the Multidisciplinary Team on the Unit and be actively involved in providing high standards of quality care. You will also be expected to demonstrate a high level of nursing assessment and clinical care skills by supporting band 5 registered nurses and 2 HCSW’s in their professional development within this dedicated environment. We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and forward-thinking nurse to lead this team. You will be expected to oversee and facilitate safe, effective and timely discharges of patients and provide support and advice to patients, their families and their careers.
