As part of this support, we are looking for a highly motivated, well organised and innovative Band 6 to join them to support preceptorship for newly qualified staff and explore how the student and placement experience can be developed, to ensure our attrition and retention is optimal. Required The post holder will be required to support learners across a variety pre-registration programme and facilitate preceptorship for the Trust focusing on newly qualified clinical staff bands 4 & 5 during their Preceptorship year, newly appointed clinical staff, international staff or those with additional support needs. and as such is expected to: Engage with a number of diverse learners. Respond to detailed enquiries regularly in a face to face, telephone, online, email or paper-based environment. Manage and respond to sensitive information regarding staff, learners or students using empathy and tact, for example when dealing with individuals who are failing to meet academic or practice standards or those requiring extra support or extenuating circumstances. Ensure there is a coordinated approach liaising with Managers, Matrons and the Education Programme Lead in planning appropriate educational delivery Work closely with clinical services in the delivery of student placements and assessments, ensuring the relevant standards are met and that programmes are appropriately evaluated and developed. Work closely with clinical areas in supporting newly qualified preceptees The post holder will work with the other Education Facilitators to ensure all education programmes are delivered effectively. As an Education Directorate we are continually looking at how we support both the widening participation agenda within our local population with our clinical apprenticeship pathways, and our pre-registration students undertaking placements across the ICO. As part of this support our Clinical Education Team is looking for a highly motivated, well organised and innovative Band 6 registered nurse to join them as a Clinical Skills Facilitator to become a integral part of this support and shape the workforce of the future.
