What to expect

3. Describe a situation where you had to manage multiple appointments or schedules simultaneously. How did you ensure that everything ran smoothly?
4. How do you approach problem-solving when faced with an unexpected issue in a patient’s care pathway? Could you provide an example?
5. Effective communication is vital in this role. Can you provide an example of how you have communicated sensitive information to a patient or their family?
6. What strategies do you use to build trust and rapport with young people and their families?
7. Can you discuss a time when you had to advocate for a patient's needs? What steps did you take to ensure their voice was heard?
8. How would you define inclusivity within the context of healthcare services for young people? What practices do you believe are important in promoting an inclusive environment?
9. What do you understand about the patient pathway in gender services for children and young people? Why do you think it is essential to manage this pathway effectively?
10. How would you ensure that patients receive timely access to the appropriate services throughout their journey?
11. What administrative tools or software are you familiar with that could assist in managing patient information and appointments effectively?
12. Can you give an example of how you have streamlined an administrative process in your previous roles? What was the impact of this change?
13. This role may involve working in a high-pressure environment. Can you share an experience where you had to adapt quickly to a change or unforeseen circumstance?
14. How do you manage stress and ensure that you remain effective while under pressure?
15. What steps do you take to remain informed about best practices in patient care and administrative management?
16. Can you discuss a time when you received constructive feedback? How did you implement it moving forward?
17. What attracts you to the role of Patient Pathway Co-ordinator within the NHS Children & Young People’s Gender Service?
