This includes diabetes, cardiology and respiratory. In order to support the clinical work of the teams and to evaluate and audit the success of the services interventions we are looking for an Assistant Psychologist. The post is an 8 month fixed term contract. The delivery of clinical services is closely aligned to the NHCT's Clinical Strategy and Mental Health Strategy. The Trust values are seen as an important component of both individual's work and the design and delivery of services. The Trust appraisal framework and the preceptorship programme enable continuing professional development, supported by funding for training and skills development. There are regular Trust-wide seminars such as a series on sleep and Compassionate Mind workshops. The Trust has a wide range of staff benefits, including a gym, great canteens and regular well-being offers. Last year the psychology team entered the Step into Summer Challenge and participation in the various interest and support groups in the Trust is encouraged. There are well-stocked libraries with professional staff and facilities to support study. This post holder will assist with a number of defined duties as agreed with the clinical service leads (psychologists) and the service manager. Working under the guidance and supervision of qualified psychologists, the post holder will participate in clinical work such as the service's triage and screening pathway and providing support to and co-facilitate group interventions (for example a well-being group based on the CFT model). The post holder will also support the evaluation of interventions and service quality improvements, and audit the standards of the service deliveries. There will also be project work and tasks specific to the service, including participation in screening of referrals and data gathering and analysis.
