This will primarily be booking, rescheduling, cancelling appointments, including waiting list administration, audio typing, drafting and typing correspondence, reports and out-patient clinic typing achieving a high level of accuracy within satisfactory timescales. You will be required to organise and attend meetings producing draft minutes for subsequent agreement by the Consultant in Sexual Health. You will be responsible for organising and maintaining the workflow of the vasectomy administration as well as organizing and scheduling appointments, organising meetings for the wider sexual health team including minute taking. You will also gather and collate statistical data accurately ensuring timescales are met. You should be educated to SVQ3 or HND level in a relevant discipline or have relevant secretarial experience in a health care environment along with a working knowledge of medical terminology. Excellent keyboard skills; a minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute; proficiency in audio typing/digital dictation; a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Access databases are essential. You will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and time management skills. You should have the ability to work as a member of a team or on your own initiative with minimal supervision.
