The Ward Administrator will work as part of the Ward’s multi-disciplinary team and will have responsibility for providing high quality administrative and clerical service to the ward. Providing a high quality, professional reception service to the ward for patients, visitors and staff. The post holder should build and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders of the critical care department. Tasks should be completed to a high standard and within set timeframes, whilst competing with conflicting demands and prioritising work as appropriate. The post holder should also have a great working knowledge of the daily operations of the department and contribute to excellent patient and staff experience whilst working to the Trust’s Values. Cover the reception area and welcome all patients and visitors to the ward and respond to enquiries as they arise both in person and over the phone. To arrange follow-up appointments, transport interpreters and other support services for patients for the smooth running of ward and patients stay. To carry out advanced booking agency cover to ensure that nursing absences are covered with correct grade of agency nurse and other agency booking as requested. To register new patients and to prepare new sets of case notes for patients upon admission. To input essential clinical and personal information onto EPIC in a manner as to maintain and protect patients confidentiality at all times. To ensure that the data held on EPIC is correct and up to date. To ensure that the patient’s daily movements outside of office hours are accurately recorded on EPIC and relevant reports are generated as requested.
