7. What do you believe are the key qualities and skills required to maintain security and order while also supporting offenders?
8. Are you comfortable working shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays? How do you plan to manage work-life balance with this schedule?
9. How do you handle stress and maintain focus during long or particularly challenging shifts?
10. How would you approach encouraging offenders to participate in educational and training programmes?
11. Can you describe any experience you have in supporting vulnerable individuals or communities?
12. What techniques or strategies do you believe are effective for managing challenging behaviour among offenders?
13. How would you handle a situation where an offender is becoming aggressive or disruptive?
14. What role do you see yourself playing within a team, and how do you ensure effective communication among your colleagues?
15. How would you go about building rapport with both your colleagues and the offenders in your care?
16. What are some ways you think the Scottish Prison Service can further support the rehabilitation of offenders?
17. How do you stay informed about best practices and developments related to prison management and offender rehabilitation?
18. What questions do you have for us about the role or the Scottish Prison Service?
