We are seeking a part time (six sessions) accredited CBT therapist to work within the wider mental health team alongside other psychological professionals including PWP staff, specialist psychological therapists, practitioner psychologists and an assistant psychologist. The role of the post holder will be to provide (Step 3) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to those presenting with common mental health difficulties of varying complexity, for which CBT has been demonstrated to be clinically effective. They will work closely with other professionals to support responsive step-up and step-down provision across the stepped care model and contribute to the wider formulation and understanding of presenting distress, including attending multi professional meetings to share formulations, intervention plans and progress. The post holder will need current accreditation with the BABCP and evidence of working with clients presenting with complex relational needs. Main duties of the job To deliver CBT to individuals who are experiencing emotional distress through the application of knowledge and skills in assessment and intervention acquired through training, ongoing CPD and experience. To co-facilitate cognitive-behavioural group interventions with support from other psychological staff. And to evaluate effectiveness accordingly.
