This post will be based at York Hospital but will have responsibility for providing a cross site service for MND patients, using a home visit model. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the management of a defined case load, and will lead and shape nursing services for people living with MND. Excellent communication, multi-disciplinary team working and an ability to work autonomously are all essential skills for this role. This is a highly rewarding but demanding role and it is essential that candidates are extremely motivated, proactive and willing to learn. The successful candidate will benefit from supervisory support from the MND and wider Neurology Team, and will also have opportunities for continuing professional development. Access to a vehicle that can be used for business purposes and hold a full and valid driving licence (role will involve travel to numerous addresses that cannot be easily accessed by public transport means) is required.
