The successful candidate will be part of a supportive and progressive team that values research and service improvement to work with patients and teams. They will provide highly specialist Speech and Language assessment, therapy and support to a highly complex caseload of adults referred into the Community Stroke Service. The successful post holder will provide clinical Speech & Language Therapy and be part of the SLT stroke pathway team. The SLT service across both the acute and community teams in STH has approximately 55 staff (47 therapists, 7 assistants and 4 secretarial staff) (41.23wte). The SLT teams are highly motivated to provide a quality service to their patients, they are research active and embrace innovation. The service has established processes for supervision and supports personal and professional development. Applicants must have: Attained a level of experience proportionate to the competencies detailed in the Job Description and Person Specification, which would normally entail extensive postgraduate experience. Experience of multi-disciplinary working. Registration with the Health Care Professions Council and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
