This role provides assistance to the specialist nursing team and support within the home delivery office base. The successful candidate will need to have a full driving licence and access to a car as the role involves travelling across the whole of the Northumbria healthcare trust locality. Applicants should be excellent communicators with good telephone communication skills; have the ability to deal with the general public and have a positive approach to patient care. Clear evidence of key board skills, willingness to be part of service improvement activities and the ability to work under pressure is essential. This role involves assisting the nursing staff and undertaking patient reviews in Nursing homes, some very basic training sessions, on fitting and use of containment product and sheath systems. Undertaking bladder scans and reporting these results to the qualified staff, supporting staff with continence product fitting issues. The other aspect of the role involves working in the continence product home delivery service office, to cover any staffing shortages to ensure we are able to provide an effective service to patients.
