Main duties of the job Our team covers a seven-day service (9-5 hours) across five separate sites, one of which is a Trauma Centre. There is also an ophthalmology hospital and a dedicated maternity service on two of the other sites. We conduct training, safeguarding supervision; attend and co-ordinate many safeguarding meetings as well as assisting with knowledge around DoLS applications; MCA cases, best interest cases and court of protection cases. As a Named Nurse Safeguarding Adults you will also attend Safeguarding Adult Board's sub-groups alongside the other Named Professionals and engage with multi-agency audits and case reviews. You will be required to complete chronologies and internal management reviews with assistance. Protecting patients from neglect and abuse is a fundamental responsibility of the Trust. The Named Nurse Adults will provide expert advice, safeguarding supervision, intervention and direction in regard to adult patients in line with the Trust safeguarding responsibilities under the Care Act (2014) and the Trust Safeguarding Adults Policy. They will liaise with internal and external agencies to ensure The Think Family ethos. They will help deliver the Violence Against Women and Girls Agenda and delivering the Deprivation of Liberty Standards agenda alongside working with modern slavery exploitation.
