The Named Nurse Safeguarding Adults role at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in London involves leading a dedicated team of safeguarding adult nurses and specialists in learning disabilities and autism. This position focuses on overseeing patient care related to Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) applications and ensuring compassionate support for vulnerable individuals. Key responsibilities include managing the safeguarding team, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to implement necessary adjustments, and advocating for safe environments for patients, particularly in the context of domestic abuse.

Additionally, the role includes attending multi-agency safeguarding meetings, conducting internal reviews, and providing expert advice and supervision in line with the Trust's safeguarding policies and responsibilities under the Care Act (2014). The Named Nurse will also engage in initiatives related to the Violence Against Women and Girls Agenda and address issues such as modern slavery exploitation, all while operating within a seven-day service across five sites, including a Trauma Centre. This dynamic position seeks an adaptable and resilient individual eager to make a significant impact in safeguarding adult patients.
