To handle queries both in person and over the telephone according to protocol and signpost according to protocol. In circumstances where a query cannot be answered to make appropriate referral. To ensure, along with other members of the reception team, that the reception area is always manned, and the telephones are answered promptly. Ensure waiting area is kept tidy, and notice board and tabletop leaflet displays are updated regularly. To undertake administrative and other tasks as requested by the Practice Manager and doctors. To support necessary changes for Plashet Harmony Practice to implement identified system changes. To undertake mandatory training and comply with all surgery regulations and procedures. To attend practice and staff meetings as required. To be aware of procedures to evacuate patients in case of emergency. To secure the building, setting the exit alarm when last to leave the premises, when applicable.
