You will join a well established and respected speech and language therapy department comprising services across our hospitals. We will be delighted to welcome you to a supportive and innovative SLT team working closely with ENT services and multi disciplinary teams to deliver clinical services as per our Patient First programme. Comprehensive supervision will be provided from the relevant clinical and service leads and there are excellent CPD opportunities. There will also be opportunities for training and supervising SLT and ENT colleagues. We run clinics and inpatient services across all our sites and will be very happy to be as flexible as possible in finding a working pattern within this that best suits you. This job involves participation in our regular Joint Voice and SLT led endoscopy clinics and participating in FEES and videofluoroscopy clinics. We are also developing a virtual service for a proportion of our Voice patients. There are opportunities to work in innovative ENT laryngology clinics alongside ENT colleagues and be involved in developing new projects in laryngeal dysfunction with the respiratory MDT. This post requires experience of independently managing a caseload of voice patients and you must have specific competencies in instrumental and perceptual assessment of voice and in evaluation of stroboscopic laryngeal images. Please note that even though the base for this position is Royal Sussex County Hospital you will be expected to travel to other hospitals within the Trust to work. About us Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management and therapy of swallow and communication disorders in the clinical specialisms. Conducting FEES. Participation in/leading videofluoroscopy examinations. Developing skills in SVR Supervision, mentoring and coaching others including students and other healthcare professionals. Teaching and training. Involvement in a range of clinical governance activities eg audit. Active participation in service developments. "}
