What to expect

1. Can you tell us a bit about your background and what motivated you to apply for this position as a Production Pharmacist?
2. What do you understand about the role of an aseptic manufacturing pharmacist, and why do you find it interesting?
3. Are you a Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council? Can you share your experience in this regard?
4. The position mentions no previous experience is required. However, can you discuss any relevant experience you have in pharmaceuticals, even if it’s academic or during your training?
5. What do you believe are the most critical quality standards in aseptic manufacturing? How would you ensure these are met in your work?
6. Can you explain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in your own words and why they are vital in this setting?
7. Have you had any exposure to aseptic techniques or sterile manufacturing environments during your studies or previous roles? If so, can you describe your experience?
8. Can you provide an example of a situation where you had to intervene to improve safety or compliance? What actions did you take, and what was the outcome?
9. Describe a time when you encountered a challenging situation in a professional setting. How did you handle it?
10. This role involves training and supporting new staff. Can you share any experiences you have had in mentoring or training others?
11. What strategies would you use to provide effective training presentations on aspects of GMP to staff with varying levels of experience?
12. The job requires participation in rotational training. How do you approach learning new skills and adapting to different areas within a production unit?
13. What goals do you have for your professional development over the next few years, and how do you see this role assisting you in achieving those goals?
14. How would you describe your communication style when collaborating with colleagues in a high-pressure environment like a production unit?
15. Can you provide an example of how you have worked collaboratively in a team to complete a project or achieve a common goal?
16. What ideas or improvements would you consider proposing to enhance the production unit's services and efficiency that align with national strategies for safer medicines?
17. Why do you think you would be a good fit for the Newcastle Specials team, and what unique qualities or perspectives would you bring?
