The hours will equate to 37.5 hours a week based on a 2 week shift rota:- Week one: Monday - Friday 8am to 4pm Week two: Monday - Friday 10:30am to 6:30pm The 7.5 hour days include a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. The role will including receiving, assisting and directing patient enquiries in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone. Comfortable working area with air con for summer months The candidate should be well-organised, have an excellent telephone manner, ability to cope under pressure, good communication skills and computer literate. Preferably with experience of Emis Web but training can be provided. It is essential that the candidate have a caring approach, and a good listener! Be a team player and motivated to providing a caring and efficient service to our patients as part of a wider team. About us Job responsibilities: Administration To have a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures. To work in accordance of written protocols Patient navigation/Signposting to various services and PCN Hub Scanning documents Reception Receiving patients Consulting with members of practice clinical teams Navigation of patients to correct services and triage appointments Be able to cover for annual leave/sickness when required Appointments Process appointment requests for today future appointments from patients by telephone and in person. Deal with visits requests Computer Registrations of new patients computer data entry and medical records. Process patients change of address computer data and medical records (have knowledge of practice area). Telephone Have working knowledge of our cloud telephony telephone system (training given). Other Tasks Maintain a clear desk policy and adhere to practice policies Ensure building security have thorough knowledge of doors/windows/alarm.
