As a Senior Project Manager, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Cancer Alliance, to drive forward the adoption of transformation and change to improve outcomes for patients. The post holder will support the Senior Programme Manager to deliver key projects in the NHS Long Term Plan and Cancer Alliance plan. The role supports the business in driving transformation as well as value for money in planning, commissioning and service. The role is designed to build a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery. About us Develop alliance wide transformation project plans that deliver transformation for patients. Manage the delivery of complex projects including policy, strategy and implementation of governance and project controls. Lead the delivery of project plans, allocating tasks as appropriate, identifying risks, issues and dependencies, consider best practice and options and ultimately making decisions in the best interest of the project. Deliver a high standard of work ensuring projects are delivered on time, to a high standard and cost effectively Build internal and external relationships and work across organisational boundaries to ensure alignment with the Cancer Alliances objectives. Pro-actively engage and manage stakeholders, so they are part of the design and delivery of cancer transformation projects. Respond to and resolve conflict if it arises Work with external consultancies working on other programs within other NHS directorates.
