You will possess a certificate of completion of training (CCT) or a certificate of eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or equivalent in the specialty of Anaesthesia. You will have significant experience of adult cardiothoracic anaesthesia and intensive care, including heart and lung transplantation and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Training in echocardiography is essential. For further information or to arrange an informal visit please contact the department secretaries on 01223 638180 / 01223 638185 (anaesthesia and intensive care). *Shared responsibility with other colleagues for critical care service provision and cardiothoracic anaesthesia. *Participation in the critical care, cardiothoracic anaesthesia and ECMO on-call duties, up to 1:6, with prospective cover. *Teaching, training and clinical supervision of trainees and other health professionals. *Participation in the research, audit and quality improvement activities of the hospital. *Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of patients and compliance with clinical governance initiatives.
