This role will have resposibility for the analysis, design , development and management of allocated Trust developed complex system interfaces and database information information systems. The role required specialist knowledge in assocated interface engine software and standards, such as Rhapsody, HL7, ITK, FHIR and SQL. This post is generally remote working however there may be requirement to come on site. To be responsible for the full life cycle of application/interface development including user requirement gathering, system analysis, system specification, system design, programming, testing, performance tuning/modification, implementation and support. Develop technical and user documentation, liaising with Trust staff and system suppliers as required, ensuring that all new system/interface developments are appropriately documented and trained prior to hand over to business as usual support. Project manage the assessment, planning and implementation of allocated interfaces. Assist in the training and co-ordination of Analyst / Programmers and Junior Analyst / Programmers' workload in conjunction with the Interface Manager and 8b Senior Analyst/Programmers. To work independently to develop the Trust's interface engines and other appropriate software application/databases adhering to the design goals of required functionality, usability, maintenance, extensibility, resilience, performance, cost-effectiveness and timeliness. Ensure that program code is both modular and clearly documented to ensure ease of maintenance and to facilitate re-use. Liaise with Clinicians, GPs and senior Trust staff to establish user requirements and specifications which will enhance the Trust's Clinical Systems. Work with Systems Interfacing Team to ensure consistency with agreed standards, for example HL7, ITK, FHIR, API, DICOM, etc. About us Ensure that all programs are properly tested, where appropriate liaising with clients to organise testing using real or realistic data. Assist with the implementation of software updates as appropriate. To participate in project planning and maintenance according to PRINCE 2 principles, ensuring project objectives are met in accordance with quality, budget and timescale, documenting all project work to departmental standards. Complete programming and other project work according to agreed timescales. Develop and maintain familiarity with relevant software tools, packages, interface engines, interfacing standards, selected for use within the Trust and provide support as required. Develop web and mobile application skills with relevant software tools and packages selected for use within the Trust. Support the Interface Manager in leveraging the commercial value of the skill pool available in the Development Teams.
