If you are passionate about palliative care and want to be part of an effective team that makes a real difference within the community, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you. 68.75hrs, 5.5shifts per week available; possible working patterns include 2 or 3 x 12.5hr full day and night shifts per week or 3 or 5 x 12.5 hours full day and night shifts per fortnight on a rota basis. Day shifts are 07:30-20:00 and nights shifts 19:30-08:00 St Teresas Hospice Band 5, WTE £29,276 - £33,609 per annum (pro rata to hours contracted) plus enhanced rates for unsociable hours. Disclosure expense will be met by St Teresas Hospice. All posts are subject to a six-month probationary period. We are a forward thinking, inclusive registered Charity with Inpatient, Outpatient and Hospice at Home services, providing care and support to palliative patients and their families in their own homes and at St Teresas Hospice. In this post, you will provide high quality holistic nursing care to palliative patients within the Inpatient Unit and create appropriate plans of care to enable and recognize individual wishes and preferences. You will develop and demonstrate a sound knowledge of palliative care and contribute to the future development of this nurse-led unit through further expansion of specialist knowledge and skills as required. Essential qualifications and skills include: First level Registered Nurse (General/Adult Nursing) with current NMC registration Understanding of the Hospice setting and ethos Professional experience in the field of palliative care would be an advantage Please see the job description and person specification for further details.
