St Teresa's Hospice in Darlington is hiring Staff Nurses for its Inpatient Unit. The role involves providing high-quality holistic nursing care to palliative patients and developing personalized care plans that respect individual preferences. Applicants should be registered nurses with NMC accreditation, and experience in palliative care is preferred but not essential. The position offers flexible working patterns, totaling 68.75 hours with options for full-day and night shifts. The salary is between £29,276 and £33,609 per annum, with additional pay for unsociable hours. Successful candidates must undergo an enhanced disclosure check, and there is a six-month probation period. Ongoing training will be provided, and the hospice emphasises mentorship and effective communication in patient care. Only those eligible to work in the UK may apply.

St Teresas Hospice, Darlington is seeking Staff Nurses to join our Inpatient Unit team.

68.75hrs, 5.5shifts per week available; possible working patterns include 2 or 3 x 12.5hr full day and night shifts per week or 3 or 5 x 12.5 hours full day and night shifts per fortnight on a rota basis. Day shifts are 07:30-20:00 and nights shifts 19:30-08:00

We are a forward thinking, inclusive registered Charity with Inpatient, Outpatient and Hospice at Home services, providing care and support to palliative patients and their families in their own homes and at St Teresas Hospice.

In this post, you will provide high quality holistic nursing care to palliative patients within the Inpatient Unit and create appropriate plans of care to enable and recognize individual wishes and preferences. You will develop and demonstrate a sound knowledge of palliative care and contribute to the future development of this nurse-led unit through further expansion of specialist knowledge and skills as required.

Essential qualifications and skills include:

First level Registered Nurse (General/Adult Nursing) with current NMC registration
Understanding of the Hospice setting and ethos
Professional experience in the field of palliative care would be an advantage
