Excellent communication skills and an ability to work with people with diverse health and social needs are essential. The post holder will work as a member of the Community Coventry & Warwickshire TB Service contributing to the delivery of an effective TB service assisting in the diagnosis, treatment, prevention and control of TB. o Works collaboratively with the multi professional team to develop and maintain a strategy relating to the care of patients in specialist area. o Works both as an independent practitioner, and as an effective member of the wider interdisciplinary clinical team. Demonstrates excellent communication ability. o Utilises an agreed service plan as a framework for service delivery. o Uses data from audit / quality monitoring/ patient satisfaction questionnaires /service review to inform clinical governance. About us The post holder will work across acute Trust/ICB settings, as an expert in clinical field to deliver specialist clinical services to defined patient/client group. They will assist in the development of the service in line with national and local targets and provide specialist, interdisciplinary education and training to other health care professionals & those working locally in relevant services.The post holder will be supported through an in-house training programme to achieve clinical skills and knowledge competencies as outlined in the CNS job description. Once in-house training programme completed and competencies achieved the post holder will be able to:Have their own case load of active and latent TB patients and will be involved in nurse-led TB contact tracing, BCG vaccination and New Entrant TB screening clinics. The post holder will provide professional advice to other professionals, multidisciplinary team, patients and their carers. The post-holder will act as a resource for education and research.
