The post holder will work within clearly defined boundaries of their associate practitioner competencies and carry out specific delegated clinical tasks and responsibilities as defined by the advanced clinical practitioner. The assistant practitioner will be assessed as proficient to work at a higher competency than expected of a band 3 health care worker, they will work in partnerships with team members, service uses, general practice, multidisciplinary teams and private/voluntary agencies. The post holder will be expected to work autonomously in a variety of setting including the patient's own home. Being able to work alone and travel in a rural area is essential.
